To protect your server data, it’s important to take a complete backup of your server to an external USB or other hard drive every night.
I don’t want to imagine too much, but even if all your hard drives are destroyed or your server fails completely, a local backup will allow you to recover your important data the fastest way possible.
It can be used to restore the server to new hardware. As for other methods, off-site backups are one of the slower and more expensive but very good backup methods.
Off-site backups are managed by software and require a contract with an off-site backup provider. This backup protects your data in the event of a major natural disaster by copying your data to a server located elsewhere.
